Africa - Pemba - Unspoiled Tropical Beauty

Pemba island forms part of the Zanzibar archipelago. Approx 50 km long, it has excellent diving along its entire shoreline. Pemba is surrounded by numerous smaller islands giving rise to magnificent coral drop-offs with excellent visibility. Best months to dive are September through to April with an average water temp of 28˚, but diving is good year round with exception of May.

The lodge consists of an open-plan bar and dining area, with 15 tile-roofed, en suite chalets built into a grassy hillside slightly above sea level and furnished in the attractive “Zanzibar” style. The chalets have electric lights and fans, but not air conditioners. Each chalet has a balcony looking out over the ocean.

They now have a beach bar with a fully equipped dive centre ( a diving instructor & an assistance instructor and one dive master to the dive operation in full swing) and a wet room..

Pemba offers spectacular wall diving with a large variety of hard and soft corals, reef and game fish in warm tropical waters with excellent visibility.

Pemba island can be reached from Kenya or Tanzania. With the first & last nights either in Diani (Kenya) or Stone Town (Zanzibar). Kenya Airways who fly to/from Mombasa (via Nairobi) every day while Air Tanzania depart via Dar on Mondays to connect with the ferry on
